Prior to starting your program on-site, you will have the opportunity to complete an online preparatory course. The preparatory course is designed to expedite your learning by introducing you to some of the topics that will be covered in your TESOL TESOL Certificate Program in Buenos Aires.
COURSE OUTLINE
1. Foreign Language Experience
• Trainees are given basic instruction in a foreign language and complete a journal during the foreign language experience.
The purpose is to encourage critical reflection on the learning experience, and provide useful insights for teaching.
2. Language Awareness
• Grammar - inputs cover; word classes, simple sentence elements, complex sentences and clauses, verb time and tense,
aspect and conditionals and modals, phrasals and voice.
• Phonology – covering: Phonemics, rhythm, stress, intonation, place & manner of articulation and connected speech.
3. Student Profile
• Trainees work with individual English students on rapport building, error analysis and correction and addressing individual
student needs. Two meetings, at least, with the student are required and will include error analysis of written samples.

5. Teaching Practice and Observation
Trainees complete a minimum:
- 3 hours of observing experienced teachers
- 10 hours of peer observation
- 1 hour of shared teaching practice
- 6 hours of individual teaching practice
