Spanish Classes in Buenos Aires, Palacio Barolo

Take a Spanish course in Buenos Aires at the GIC Argentina Spanish language school! We offer intensive and effective Spanish lessons in Buenos Aires for all ages. Spanish Classes: Levels

The Spanish lessons in Buenos Aires are divided into six levels. You will be placed in the right Spanish course level according to your knowledge and based upon the results of your placement exam.

Our Spanish courses in Buenos Aires are offered throughout the year. You can join our courses every Monday of the year.

Program Registration

  1. Submit an online registration form.
  2. After we receive your registration form, we will send you instructions on how to pay the US$75 registration fee.
  3. The deadline for registration is at least three weeks before the program starts. Registrations submitted after the deadline will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

FAQ: Spanish Lessons in Buenos Aires

1. What is the minimum age required to attend this Spanish course in Buenos Aires?
We normally ask that students be 18 years of age or over. Students under this age must have a written authorization from their legal guardians. We also offer a High School exchange program for participants under age 18 interested in taking Spanish courses in Buenos Aires and Patagonia.

2. Is this Spanish course only for college students?
No, our Spanish course in Buenos Aires is for people of all ages.

3. What is the average age of GIC Argentina students?
We have students of a varied range of ages. However, on average students in our Spanish courses in Buenos Aires are between 20 and 29 years old.

4. What level of language skill do I need to have?
None! Don't worry about that! Our Spanish courses in Buenos Aires for beginners to advanced speakers.

5. How long can I go for?
We have Spanish courses in Buenos Aires available having a duration from four weeks to an entire semester. Multi-month programs less than a semester in length are also possible. Please let us know the preferred length of your program and we can likely accommodate your needs.

6. When do the Spanish courses begin?
Most of our Spanish courses in Buenos Aires start the first week of every month at all levels. Check out the start date of each program or contact us for more information.

7. What will be my Spanish course schedule?
The Spanish course in Buenos Aires at the GIC Argentina Spanish school starts at 9AM or 1PM depending on the month and the number of students registered.

8. Do I have to take a Spanish placement test at the school?
Yes, on the first day of classes, you will take a Spanish level test to place you in the appropriate Spanish course level. After placement, your teachers will give you more detailed information about the course contents and learning materials.

9. How can I enroll in this Spanish course in Buenos Aires?
It is very easy. In order to enroll in our Spanish course in Buenos Aires, please fill out the application form.

10. Can I combine the Spanish course in Buenos Aires with Tango lessons and/or other programs?
Yes! Since your Spanish course in Buenos Aires are in the afternoon you will have free time in the morning and evening for other activities. You can combine Spanish classes with both tango and salsa if you want, but you should arrange this in advance to make sure that there are no scheduling conflicts and that there is space available. You can also combine any of our programs with a program in another location. Please, contact us if this is your situation.

11. Can I combine the Spanish course in Buenos Aires with a Spanish course in another location?
Yes, you can combine any programs that you like. Keep in mind that the shortest Spanish course in Buenos Aires is one month. If you wish to combine two programs, please, let us know ahead of time.

12. Do I receive a certificate at the end of the Spanish course?
Yes, the university will issue a transcript that you can use to obtain academic credit from your college or university. The transcript will contain the Spanish course you took, the total number of hours, and your Spanish course grade. The transcript will be signed by a university authority.

13. How much course credit can I earn with this Spanish course in Buenos Aires?

The amount of credit you can earn in the Spanish course in Buenos Aires depends on the policies of your home institution. You have to pass all the courses you take (you will be required to obtain a 'C' or better in each course in order to receive the credit).

14. How can I transfer college credits for this Spanish course in Buenos Aires?
You must make arrangements with your home institution to transfer credits. We recommend that you talk to your Study Abroad Advisor at your home institution before applying to GIC Argentina. Our Spanish course in Buenos Aires is held at a large and well-known university and it is highly likely that your university will give you course credit for our programs.

15. Do you arrange excursions on the weekend?
Yes!! We can arrange optional trips to many parts of Argentina - however costs for these excursions are not included in the Spanish course in Buenos Aires. 16. Will I meet anyone if I go alone?
Yes! Most students taking the Spanish course in Buenos Aires travel independently and are looking to meet other people with an interest in learning a language and discovering another culture. Not only will you meet other program participants, but you will meet locals as well at the Spanish school, in your home stay, and in your travels.

17. Is airfare included in the price of the Spanish course in Buenos Aires?
Your flights to and from Argentina are not included in the program price. When you have made your flight arrangements, let us know so we may arrange your airport pickup.

18. Is medical insurance included in the price of the Spanish course in Buenos Aires?
No, it is not included. We strongly encourage students to get travel and health insurance. GIC Argentina will not be responsible for any costs incurred by the student relating to medical illness, accidents or other reason that may result in the student's early return.

19. Is financial aid available for this Spanish course in Buenos Aires?
Most financial aid can be transferred to your study abroad program. Talk to your financial aid advisor to determine how much financial aid you can expect for your study abroad program. Your home institution makes the final decision in regard to your aid package and policies change from university to university. 20. Is the Spanish school closed on national holidays?
Yes. Classes that are cancelled due to holidays are not rescheduled for a another day.
