If you want a true Argentinian experience - learn tango by day and go out to tango "milongas" at night.  Tango is enjoying a resurgence in popularity among young people in Argentina these days - many clubs cater to portenos in their 20s, where the style of dress is more low-key, but the atmosphere is still charged up.  How better to get to know nice looking porteno guys (or girls) "up close and personal" than to learn tango and practice your steps in the tango clubs at night?  It's the ultimate cultural immersion in Argentina.

Many people think of tango as fishnet stockings, 6 inch heels, leg over the shoulder maneuvers etc.  Though this type of tango does exist - it is "show tango" that you'll see in a tango performance such as on the street or in a theater.  "Real tango" that would be danced in a class and in a tango club, is less dramatic, softer and sexier.
