GIC Argentina provides two different options for learning Spanish in Buenos Aires:
Universidad de Buenos Aires is the largest and best known university in Argentina and is one of the most prestigious in Latin America.
Start Dates
On your first day at the University (Spanish language school), you will take an oral and written placement test in order to place you in the appropiate Spanish class. You can download the correspondent Spanish course description by clicking on the titles below:
GIC Argentina's Conversation Partner Program is a way to improve your Spanish conversation abilities and make friends too. Upon arrival, if you sign up for this program (at no additional charge) you will be paired with an Argentinean who is learning English (we can typically match ages pretty well if you want that). You will regularly meet at least once a week and alternate between Spanish and English. It is a great way to learn Spanish in Buenos Aires faster and to make new friends in Argentina! (learn more)
New spanish courses in Buenos Aires at the University of Buenos Aires typically start the first Monday of each month for all levels. Your Spanish classes at the Universidad de Buenos Aires are held every day from Monday through Friday, usually starting at 1 pm. The university Spanish classes are generally taught by 2 teachers and cover grammar, writing skills, reading comprehension and oral communication. The University of Buenos Aires Spanish school is closed on national holidays.
Most people studying Spanish language in Argentina with GIC earn 3 - 4 semester units for each 4-week Spanish course completed and 12 - 15 semester credits for each semester abroad program completed. If you are in a college or university and would like to receive academic credit at your home institution, you will have to pass all the Spanish courses in Buenos Aires, as most institutions require a grade of 'C' or better before giving credit for an overseas course.
