Marcos was born in Cordoba were he lived until the age of 18. From an early age he was interested in traveling and learning foreign languages. Before his high school graduation he spent a year in Japan as an exchange student and then moved to Buenos Aires to go to college where he studied Public Relations and Hospitality. Marcos also studied in the US for 4 years and traveled extensively though North America and Asia.
Having been a foreign language professor in Argentina for over 23 years, Mirian has an extensive background in, and is passionate about, language instruction. Though she moonlights as a private language tutor, Mirian presently is GIC's lead program advisor, where she focuses her efforts on helping GIC program participants plan their study abroad, volunteer, intern or other program in Argentina. Mirian has lived in the US and loves travelling. Mirian has one son and one daughter.
Melisa studied English from an early age in Argentina, and now she is finishing her bachelors degree in English as a foreign language. Meli works as a GIC Argentina program advisor. She enjoys contact with students and would like to eventually become a language teacher. Melisa loves travelling, going out with friends and meeting international students.
Kristin graduated from Southwestern University in 2009 with a degree in Spanish and Philosophy. During her studies she spent one year living in Buenos Aires and fell in love with the Argentine language and culture. Kristin now lives permanently in Buenos Aires and enjoys sharing her passion for the country with students and travelers! In her spare time she loves taking advantage of the various musical and theatrical performances throughout the city, and is hoping to enroll in a masters program in translation next year.
